| Interactive Storybook DS Won! | | UFO Interactive Games' Storybook DS Wins The National Parenting Center's 2007 Seal of Approval
Storybook DS deemed an exceptional product for encouraging parent-child interaction and fostering the imagination through skill-based mini-games
POMONA, CA (August 29, 2007) – UFO Interactive Games, a leading publisher of interactive entertainment, announces its Storybook DS videogame has received The National Parenting Center’s 2007 Seal of Approval. A new release from the UFO Family line of games, Storybook DS is the first videogame on the Nintendo DS format developed especially for kids aged 3-6.
The National Parenting Center is an organization dedicated to providing extensive information to all parents from respected family and parenting experts. The product testing division is run by independent testers including parents, educators and panelists who critique products marketed towards children and families. The approval of Storybook DS confirms it meets the high standards of The National Parenting Center as tested on its desirability, values and interactive stimulation, among other qualifications.
"Interactive Storybook is a great start. There are five activity centers ranging from coloring to playing the harp (a video game first for us)," as quoted from the 2007 Fall Seal of Approval Report. "The graphics have a decidedly anime feel which resonated more with kids than parents."

"We are thrilled our Storybook DS has received this prestigious seal of approval from The National Parenting Center," said Jonathan Wan, CEO of UFO Interactive Games. "We believe in the quality and uniqueness of our videogames and it is wonderful to receive this third-party affirmation from such a respected resource in the parenting industry."
Storybook DS features read-aloud storytelling of popular fairy tails such as the Three Little pigs and the Snow Queen. Each story has an interactive twist featuring the full capabilities of Nintendo DS that allows still animation to come to life. Parent and child can interact together and with the DS screens as they watch the stories unfold.
Four skill-based mini-games themed to the various fairy tales include a coloring book, virtual instrument play on a harp with recording ability, a counting numbers exercise and a free-form drawing pad that provide hours of wholesome, learning play.
"We are committed to creating inspired and engaging videogames that children will love to play as they learn, while also appealing to parents who must navigate through the inappropriate and sometimes violent content prevalent in the videogame industry," adds Wan.
Rated E for Everyone by the ESRB, Storybook DS will be available at mass, specialty and online retailers including Wal-Mart, Toys “R” Us and Amazon.com beginning in October. The suggested retail price is $19.99.
Storybook DS is the first title release from the UFO Interactive Games’ newly-established line of educational entertainment games from UFO Family. Upcoming titles from UFO Family include the Smart Kids series with the Smart Boy’s Gameroom and Smart Girl’s Playhouse.
